She and her husband Wouter are qualified Padi diving instructors and are never happier than when they are semi-drowning some group of would-be divers in their specially designed pool at their home, in Mozambique or at dive sites in Egypt and Israel. She, (together with Wayne – our optical technician, have perfected in the design and custom fitting of optically correct lenses to diving masks), as well as the fitting of contact lenses specifically for divers (See Sports Vision).
She and Wouter, being qualified to train handicapped divers, were privileged to be part of the team that achieved a world record recently for the highest number of handicapped divers (17) underwater at one place, at one time. Seeing that each handicapped diver required three Buddy-divers it was a daunting task. They intend to better this record soon. (See News and Views)
